FICCS (Flexible Innovative Curriculum Consulting Services) is a California State Approved School Assistance and Intervention Teams (SAIT) Provider
Our mission is to enhance the academic performance in every school we work with by working collaboratively with staff, students and community. We work with and support school districts to ensure student academic achievement.
FICCS was created by three California State University Professors to serve the growing needs of underperforming schools across the state K-12. We have had several successful long-term relationships with school districts. We have witnessed remarkable increases in student achievement in these districts. Our company, working with the state English Language Development Professional Institute Grant and Project TNT, designed the concept of online peer coaching in 2003. (Each of our 3 members have been trained and approved by the State of CA as leads and SAIT providers). Together we have over 80 years of educational experience, K-12, teaching through administration. Our consultants have created numerous forms/templates for teachers to use including writing rubrics, teacher self-assessment surveys, guidelines for instructional strategies, etc. and conducted countless trainings to improve delivery of instruction at schools. Our latest venture is the CPEC (California Post Secondary Education Grant) CALLI, working with secondary Math and Science teachers to improve the delivery of Academic Language and Literacy in their classrooms. We are also currently working on a manuscript to demonstrate effective delivery of Language and Literacy in the content areas. Working with parents, teachers, staff, administration and students effectively to “ficcs” (fix) problems is our mission.
